Tree pollen levels were reduced this week as rain removed pollen from the atmosphere but high counts were seen on dry days for cypress. Grass and weed pollen was low. Moulds were low.
Johannesburg
Tree counts are high and the highest levels were seen for birch, mulberry and plane trees. Oak and olive pollen is appearing in low numbers. Grasses and weeds are low and mould levels were consistently low.
Bloemfontein
Grass pollen levels were high.Tree pollen levels were high as Olive, Celtis and Buddleja flowered. Weed pollen and moulds were low.
Durban
Tree, weed and grass pollen levels were consistently low at this site. Mould counts fluctuated from low to high as some significant counts were recorded.
Pretoria
Tree pollen was high as Morus (mulberry) continued to flower. Grass and weed pollen was low. Moulds were similarly low.
Gqeberha
All pollen levels were low at this site as were moulds.
Kimberley
Tree, grass and weed pollen was low at this site, but grass and spring flowering tree pollen is slowly increasing. Moulds levels were low.
