Grasses were very low. Low tree levels were detected including the types pine (Pinaceae), waxberry (Morella), cypress (Cupressaceae) and kareeboom (Searsia/Rhus). Low weed levels were detected and these included English Plantain (Plantaginaceae), buttercup (Ranunculaceae), nettle (Urticaceae), slangbos (Stoebe), the daisy family (Asteraceae) and ferns (Polypodiaceae). Moulds were consistently low.
Johannesburg
Heavy rain washed pollen and mould spores from the air. Grasses were very low. Tree pollen was extremely low and only eucalyptus (gum) pollen was detected. Low weed pollen included the types English Plantain (Plantaginaceae) and ferns (Polypodiaceae). Mould levels were very low.
Pretoria
Low grass levels were detected. Low tree levels included the types cypress (Cupressaceae) and kareeboom (Searsia/Rhus). Weed levels were low and included English Plantain (Plantaginaceae) and nettle (Urticaceae). High moulds levels were detected and these included significant levels for basidiospores (includes mushrooms) and small spikes for Cladosporium.

Kimberley
Grasses were low to moderate. Tree levels were very low and only willow (Salicaceae) and white stinkwood (Celtis africana) were detected. Low weed levels included goosefoot (Chenopodiaceae), the daisy family (Asteraceae), knotweed (Persicaria) and the pink or carnation family (Caryophyllaceae). Fungal spores were high and significant levels were detected for Alternaria, Cladosporium and basidiospores (includes mushrooms).
Durban
Durban: Grass levels were low. Tree pollen was low overall but increasing concentrations were seen for Morus spp and moderate levels were reached on some days. Weeds were low but varied and the species detected included ragweed (Ambrosia spp), the daisy family (Asteraceae), English Plantain (Plantaginaceae), sedges (Cyperaceae), slangbos (Stoebe) and nettle (Urticaceae). Moulds were moderate, reaching high levels on some days as significant levels were seen for Basidiospores (includes the mushroom family) and ascospores, with intermittent spikes for Cladosporium.
Gqeberha
Grass levels were low. Low tree levels included the types eucalyptus (Myrtaceae) and olive (Oleaceae). Weed levels were low and the types detected were the daisy family (Asteraceae) and the pink or carnation family (Caryophyllaceae). Mould levels were very low.
