Pollen concentrations remained low at this sampling site. Trees detected included cypress (Cupressaceae), olive (Oleaceae), mulberry (Moraceae), gum (Myrtaceae) and yellowwood (Podocarpaceae) and weeds were the daisy family (Asteraceae), hemp (Cannabaceae), sedges (Cyperaceae), erica (Ericaceae), nettle (Urticaceae) and mugwort (Artemisia). Moulds were low.
Johannesburg
Low pollen concentrations were seen at this sampling site. Trees were cypress (Cupressaceae), beech (Fagus), privet (Ligustrum), gum (Myrtaceae) and karee (Searsia). No weeds were detected and moulds were low.
Pretoria
At this time of the year all pollen concentrations would be low. Trees might be beech (Fagus), karee (Searsia), oak (Quercus), bushwillow (Combretaceae), cypress (Cupressaceae), pine (Pinaceae) and poplar (Populaceae). Weeds could be the daisy family (Asteraceae), spurges (Euphorbiaceae), hopbush (Dodonaea), erica (Ericaceae), mallows (Malvaceae), mezereum (Thymelaeaceae) and nettles (Urticaceae). Moulds would be low. 5-year means were calculated.
Bloemfontein
Tree, grass and weed pollen was low at this site. Trees were birch (Betula), bushwillow (Combretaceae), cypress (Cupressaceae) and karee (Searsia) and weeds were mugwort (Artemisia). Moulds were low.
Kimberley
Pollen concentrations were low in all three categories. Trees included birch (Betula), bushwillow (Combretaceae), olive (Oleaceae) and karee (Searsia). Weeds were mugwort (Artemisia). Extremely low mould loads were seen.

Low pollen counts were seen at this site. Trees were cedar (Cedrus), cypress (Cupressaceae), waxberry (Morella), olive (Oleaceae), pine (Pinaceae) and karee (Searsia). Weeds were mugwort (Artemisia), katstert (Anthospermum), goosefoot (Chenopodiaceae), coffee bush (Bruniaceae), erica (Ericaceae) sedges (Cyperaceae) and protea (Proteaceae). Moulds were low.

At this sampling site in this period pollen concentrations would be low. Trees might be cypress (Cupressaceae), elm (Ulmaceae), cedar (Cedrus), persimmon (Ebenaceae) and olive (Oleaceae). Weeds could be protea (Proteaceae), coffee bush (Bruniaceae), slangbos (Stoebe-type), erica (Ericaceae), lily (Liliaceae) and goosefoot (Chenopodiaceae). Moulds would be low. 2-year means are shown.
