Cape Town

Tree pollen concentrations decreased somewhat but the overall count remained high. Grasses, weeds and fungal spore levels were low. A greater variety of pollen types is appearing in the air Weeds: English plantain, erica, rumex and Myrica and trees: cypress, oak, olive, rhus and gum.

Johannesburg

Plane continues to be the major contributer to the pollen catch, but oak, beech and pine were seen. Grasses remain low and weed pollen included English Plantain, Caryphyllaceae and daisy. Fungal spore levels were low.

Durban

All pollen types in the categories: trees, grasses and weeds were low at this site as were fungal spores. A smaller insignificant spike for Cladosporium was noted.
